Manipur Police body builders return home with 4 bronze medals


Imphal: Body builders of Manipur Police who won four Bronze medals in different weight categories in the 71st All India Police Wrestling Cluster, 2022 championship have returned home on Monday.

The championship was held at State Reserve Police Force, Pune, Maharshtra in November 16-20 and was organised by Maharashtra police.

Eight body builders participated in the championship representing Manipur Police.

The four body builders in men’s category won Bronze medals were jemadar Bhupendro NK in 80 kg; head constable W. Kiran in 75 kg; constable P. Nandajit in 60 kg and havildar L. Okendro in 55 kg.

In the competition havildar L. Kumarjit Meitei, havildar Ng. Surchandra participated in 90 kg and 85 kg categories respectively, while rifleman Kh. Hemata and constable Ksh. Arunjit participated in 65 kg category.
