Manipur government to develop “Imphal, Streets for People”

Imphal: Manipur government is heading to development of “Imphal, Streets for People” having a cycle track, open museum and an emergency lane, along the Governor Road with BT Park on the west and Johnstone Higher Secondary School to the east in the heart of Imphal city.
Regarding the plan, a meeting was chaired by chief minister N.Biren Singh at his secretariat on Tuesday.
With a vision to make the city more lively and vibrant, it is being proposed that a cycle track, open museum and an emergency lane be developed on this stretch. Opening up of a section of BT Park was also discussed to make it more accessible to the people, chief minister N. Biren Singh said.
The meeting was attended by minister Y. Khemchand, Rajya Sabha MP Leishemba Sanajaoba, MLAs S. Rajen and Th Shanti, and officials.
