Imphal Lion Club assures to deliver health related hand to ‘Hope Home’

Imphal: Lions Club of Imphal Valley (LCIV) assured to the inmates of ‘Hope Home’ that any health related assistance will be rendered to them by the club.
This was said by president of Lions Club, Imphal Valley Dr W. Gopimohon Singh during donation of ration and other edible items to ‘Hope Home’, Takyel, Khongbal, Langjing, Imphal West on Sunday.
Hope Home is children home only girl inmates.
The programme was conducted as a part of the “Service from the Heart”, which is one of the motto of the Lions Club under Lions Clubs of International District 3220.
In a release issued and signed by marketing officer and PRO of the Imphal unit of the club, Ch. Ratankishore mentioned that the ration and other edible items were donated to the home led by its district president.
The edible items included rice, pulses, potato, vegetables, and other edible items.
Gopimohon expressed his gratitude to the club members for organising such function which was rightly termed as “Service from the Heart” for the needy inmates of the home. He wished the inmates of the home good health.
Vice-district governor, of the club unit, Th. Kesho Singh, who also accompanied the visiting district governor, appreciated the efforts of the club which the club executes regularly. He expressed his desire to widely publish the service activities of the club being held at the Hope Home, which is meant for only girl inmates who are also sent for schooling by the home administrator, for wide public attention to look after the needs of the home.
Later in the evening, the district governor, visited Lions Club of Imphal Valley and Lions Club of Imphal North, in a gathering held at Hotel Nirmala, here.
A meeting was also held which were attended by the district governor with board of directors of the clubs and stressed the need of activities to serve the society for the needy people with the project which are hunger vision, diabetes, environment, paediatric cancer. He also stressed the clubs to maintain in good position by holding regular meetings along with carrying out of regular service activities for the society.
Gopimohon expressed special appreciation for Lions Club of Imphal Valley for coming up to sponsor a new specialty club at Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh with the active initiation of region chairperson, Dr. N. Romi Singh.
He also thanked the two clubs for executing different service activities as per Lionistic goals and for donating generously to Lions Clubs International Foundation and District Fund Foundation in true spirit lionism, the release said.
