Mega job fair at Imphal

Imphal: Skill labour employment and entrepreneurship minister Heikham Dingo assured to upgrade employment exchange office, which he said is one of the most important office to provide information and jobs for job seekers of Manipur.

The minister was addressing at the inaugural ceremony of “A mega job fair, 2022” held for a day at the office of Directorate of Employment, Lamphelpat, Employment Exchange, Imphal West (Model Career Centre, Imphal West).

The programme was directorate of employment exchange, Lamphelpat, Imphal West in collaboration with Directorate of General Employment, Government of India.

Dingo said employment exchange office is one of the most important office for the job seekers. However, the infrastructure of the office has been remaining unimproved. With the lack of staff the job seekers are not able to get its satisfaction in getting information on job recruitment issued from various government departments. He assured that the matter will be consulted with chief minister N. Biren Singh.

He said he will also discuss with the chief minister to declare the pending result for various job recruitment at the earliest.

“Youths are the pillar of the nation” he said and appealed the youths and job seekers to get information for government jobs which is relevant to their skill, talent and qualification.

During the job fair around 35 stalls were opened. Huge number of job seekers visited the stalls.
