Poppy cultivation of 30 acres destroyed in Manipur

Imphal: Manipur government continues to destroy Poppy cultivation with yet another destruction of Poppy in an area of 30 acres on Monday.

The destruction was carried out by a combined team of district police Imphal East assisted by NAB, Forest department, and BSF at N.P Khullen-B. Gamnom hill range.

The combined team is camping at B.Gamnom village and will continue poppy plant destruction in the adjoining areas. Maximum efforts will be made to arrest illegal poppy plant cultivators, chief minister N. Biren Singh said.

Biren congratulated the team for their efforts on the War on Drugs campaign.
