Search operation continues ahead of Shah’s visit

Imphal: Manipur Police continued taking up taking security measures at various parts of Imphal West district, ahead of Union Home minister Amit Shah’s visit to the state.
District commando Imphal West on Wednesday conducted house to house search operation and verification of bailouts/ criminals in the adjoining areas of Kwakeithel Lamdong and Konjeng Leikai area, Imphal West.
During the police activity, 70 houses were searched and verified 150 individuals including 11 bailouts. However, no individuals were detained for further verification.
Chief minsiter N. Biren Singh along with ministers and MLAs have been inspecting the preparation of various developmental works where Shah would inaugurate during his visit.
Teams of Imphal West Police commando conducted house to house search operations and verification including hotels and rented houses at Dewlahland area western side of ISBT in late afternoon. During the operation around 70 houses were search and 120 individuals were verified. No one was picked pick up for further verification.
Another such operation was conducted at Thangal bazar areas—Boragali covering areas Ngarigali, Kasturi stretch. In that around 120 individuals were verified and three persons were detained and handed over to City police for further verification, a police report said.
