Imphal: Health and IPR minister Dr Sapam Ranjan Singh said Manipur is changing for the better, speaking on the occasion of the 3/3 Epidemiology Workshop for Public Health Workforce organised at Hotel Classic Grande, Chingmeirong, Imphal, on Tuesday.
Ranjan maintained that the state has been improved in many sectors during the past few years under the able leadership of the present chief minister N. Biren Singh. The road connectivity, telecommunication system, tourism prospects, law and order, health system etc. have been improved. The uniqueness of the state has also attracted the outsiders. The time has been created to visit and explore the beauty of the state by the outsiders, he added.
During the time of Covid-19 pandemic the country was hardly affected. But gradually with the sincere efforts of the field workers and dedicated medical staff, the situation of the pandemic could be controlled in the country. A positive change can be seen during the recent past particularly in the north eastern region. People of the state can have a free mind. This implies the marching of the state ahead, he said.
Additional chief secretary, V. Vumlunmang, Dr Atul Goel, director general of Health Services, GOI, Dr. Kh. Sasheekumar Mangang, director Health Services, Manipur, Dr. Somorjit Ningombam also graced the inaugural occasion.
