Poppy cultivation on 45 acres land destroyed

Imphal: Yet another Poppy cultivation was destroyed by a combined team of Kangpokpi Forest Division and district police, Kangpokpi and Imphal East on Wednesday.

The destruction was carried out on the hill ranges of  Lhangsom Villages under Saikul sub-division.

The poppy destruction teams were led by divisional Forest officer, Kangpokpi Forest Divisio. A total of 45 acres were cleared of poppy cultivation, range Forest officer/HQ, Kangpokpi Forest Division said.

FIRs and PORs have been filed against the poppy cultivators.
