Imphal: Textiles, Commerce and Industries minister Nemcha Kipgen on Thursday attended the 19th Annual General Body Meeting of Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE) held at Shastri Bhawan, New Delhi.
The minister is also one of the members of the General Body of IIE.
The meeting was co-chaired by the Union minister Dharmendra 19th Annual General Body Meeting Pradhan, ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Union minister G. Kishan Reddy, ministry of Development of Northeastern Region.
Nemcha raised specific concern in regard with Manipur and Northeast as a whole. She highlighted the initiative of chief minister N. Biren Singh taken up to uplift the budding entrepreneurs of the state by introducing the Manipur Start Up scheme and various others assured support for the youths to set up new enterprises through such programmes.
During the Board meeting, annual reports for the financial year 2018-19, 2019-20, 2020-21 were placed before the general body members for ratification & Annual report 2021-22 for adoption; various activities namely number of training programmes, participants and revenue, entrepreneurship and skill development programmes with Ministries were reviewed amongst others.
Resident commisioner, Manipur Bhawan, Delhi, Devesh Deval also attended the meeting.
