Assam Rifles seize liquor, 1 apprehended

Imphal: ​Modi Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) intercepted a vehicle at vehicle check post for transportation of illegal Indian Made Foreign Liquor on January 21.

​Based on specific input, troops of Modi Battalion along with a team of Manipur Terriers launched a Mobile Vehicle Check Post on National Highway-102, which led to the seizure of 29 cases of Liqour and apprehension of one person near Village Nungourok, Tegnoupal.

​The Liquor which was loaded in his Tata Magic veh No MN 04 A 3556 seized is worth Rs 2,08,800. The apprehended individual along with illegal liquor and Vehicle were handed over to Excise office, Pallel for further proceedings, the Assam Rifles said on Tuesday.
