Manipur governor, CM join Prime Minister’s Pariksha Pe Charcha
Imphal: Manipur governor La. Ganesan and chief minister N. Biren Singh on Friday joined Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s interaction programme with students “Pariksha Pe Charcha”.
The governor joined the students of Tamphasana Girls Higher Secondary School in watching the live interaction session of Prime Minister with students, teachers and parents at Talkatora Stadium in New Delhi.
The chief minister watched the live interaction with students and teachers at Srivan Higher Secondary School, Luwangshangbam in Imphal East.
It was the 6th edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha.
The Prime Minister witnessed the exhibits of students showcased at the venue before the interaction. Pariksha Pe Charcha has been conceptualised by the Prime Minister wherein students, parents, and teachers interact with him on various topics related to life and exams. About 38.80 Lakh registrations have taken place this year from 155 countries in this year’s edition of PPC.
Addressing the gathering, the Prime Minister highlighted that this is the first time that Pariksha Pe Charcha is taking place during the Republic Day celebrations and noted that those visiting New Delhi from other states also got a glimpse of the Republic Day.
Throwing light on the importance of Pariksha Pe Charcha for the Prime Minister himself, he pointed out the millions of questions that are posed as part of the programme and said that it gives him insight into the minds of the young generations of India. “These questions are like a treasure trove for me”, the Prime Minister said. He pointed out that he would like the compilation of all these questions which can be analysed by social scientists in the coming years giving a detailed thesis about the minds of young students at such a dynamic time.
After watching the session, speaking to the students, the governor said, the whole idea of the Charcha is to respect examination. He said, examination is an important phase in student’s life. Everybody cannot be masters of all subjects, but students should try to excel whatever they read and with confidence they should face the examinations. He wished the students a grand success in their examinations.
“Delighted to watch the live interaction of Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi ji with students…,” Biren writes on his Facebook wall.
He said the dynamic leadership of the PM has shown the way to shape the minds of young students, teachers, and parents in the country towards a holistic approach to education, dealing with exam stress, parents and teachers’ role, health, spirituality, etc., and various other important fields by directly interacting them.
