Minister Khashim visits Ukhrul blast victim at hospital

Imphal: Veterinary and Animal Husbandry minister Khashim Vashum on Thursday visited the Ukhrul blast blast victim woman admitted at Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS), here.

Four persons were injured in the blast that triggered on the Republic Day at Gandhi Chowk, Ukhrul district.

They were given first aid at Ukhrul district hospital however a woman victim, Manaowon was referred to JNIMS hospital for further treatment as she received injury at her elbow and abdomen.

During the visit minister wished her for speedy recovery and rendered financial assistance.

Former deputy Speaker MK Preshow Shimray who is also spokesperson of state BJP also visited the injured at JNIMS on the same day.

He also handed over financial assistance to the injured and wished her quick recovery.

PREPAK has claimed responsible for the blast  It said, due to some technical error while setting the timer of the bomb, some civilians were injured. It expressed regret and wished for quick recovery.
