One drug trafficker arrested

Imphal: Churachandpur police of Manipur on Tuesday arrested a drug trafficker who has been supplying World is Yours (WY) drug in Bijang village.

The drug trafficker was identified as Kamkhosei Hanghal, 33, son of late Lhukhopao of Mongnelphai, presently residing at Bijang family lane.

During a house search, seven plastic packets suspected to contain WY tablets were detected concealed inside a plastic basket. On opening one of the plastic packets, it was found to contain suspected WY tablets and on counting all the seven packets, it was found to contain 1306 tablets of suspected WY, a police report said.

The packed and sealed packet of suspected WY tablets, a sum of Rs14,990 suspected to proceeds of drug transaction and one mobile phone were seized.
