Rhythms of Manipur set to perform in Mumbai

Imphal: A twelve member team of the Rhythms of Manipur will participate at the 13th Rashtriya Sanskriti Mahotsav   2023 being held at Azad Maidan Church Gate Mumbai from February 11 to 19 which will organise by South Central Zone Cultural Center Nagpur.

The Mumbai festival is the inaugural festival for this year which starts from 2015 and held in different states, Rhythms of Manipur troupe will perform national award winning fusion music composition Dancing Drummers and Manipur State Song Sana Leibak Manipur written by B Jayentakumar Sharma and composed by Aribam Syam Sharma  on February 12 second day of the festival.

Recently on February 5 Rhythms of Manipur sponsored by North East Zone Cultural Centre, Dimapur toured New Delhi and performed at Kartavyapath during Kalanjali event and at Nehru Park in connection with Unity In Creativity event organised by Ministry of Culture.

Dance and music teams from different parts of the country will perform during the nine days festival. The Rhythms of Manipur troupe is leaving Imphal for Mumbai tomorrow February 11.
