Two women drug dealers arrested

Imphal:  A security team of Indigo Cargo Service at Imphal Airport detected a consignment containing 20 packets of suspected WY (World is Yours) methamphetamine tablets.

This was posted by Chief minister N. Biren Singh on his Facebook wall on Wednesday.

The total number of tablets is 4, 000. The person who came to drop the consignment is identified as Niangminthang, wife of Paukhandou, 45, from Tangnuam, Churchandpur and she has been detained & arrested later by Singjamei Police from Imphal Airport.

The consignment was to be delivered to the address of Rana market Munirka courier service, Delhi. A case has been registered and investigation is going on to find out all other involved persons, the chief minister shared.

On Tuesday, Imphal East commandos accompanied by women police personnel arrested one woman drug dealer with 113 gram of Heroin powder from North AOC.

The woman has been identified as Anjali Rahman, 24, wife of Hozrot Ali of Urup Mayai Leikai.

Anjali Rahman reportedly disclosed that the drug was taken from Md Arif of Lilong to delivery to one person at ISBT Khuman Lampak.
