Security force catch Rs 2.5 crore worth drug

Imphal: Security forces nabbed two drug traffickers with Heroin No.4 powder from Thoubal district on Wednesday.

​Based on credible intelligence inputs provided by Keithelmanbi Battalion under the aegis of HQ IGAR(South), joint operations were launched with Thoubal Commandos, the Assam Rifles said.

On thorough checking and investigation, two individuals were caught carrying 41 plastic soap cases, blue in colour, containing suspected Heroine No. 4 weighing approx 484 gm in total worth Rs 2.5 crores in the international market.

​The apprehended individuals along with the recovered items were handed over to Khongjom Police station for further necessary legal actions.
