Minister Susindro says anyone found involved in drug trafficking will not be spared, be it family or relatives

Imphal: Manipur Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Minister Leishangthem Susindro Meitei on Saturday said he will not spare any individual, be it family or relatives, if found involved in drug related cases and against ‘War on Drugs’ campaign.
The minister made the statement during a press briefing at his residence, at Khurai Sajor Leikai, Imphal East.
Susindro said in social media one post uploaded by an account holder named as Phajaton Chanu went viral. In the viral post it is mentioned that one Loyangamba was arrested by Delhi police along with 50 kg of drugs. In the post it is also mentioned that Loyangamba is the step younger brother of minister Susindro.
Such social media post was uploaded to defame his political career, the minister said. He said the person might be his step brother but he do not have any close relation with the arrested person since decades.
In connection with the social media post, he said, he has lodged an FIR at Cyber Crime Police station, however, no traces have been found regarding the information of the account holder named as ‘Phajaton Chanu’, he added.
Susindro appealed the people to support ‘War on Drugs’ to root out drugs from the state.
