One vehicle lifter nabbed

Imphal: One vehicle lifter was nabbed on Monday afternoon by a combined team of Imphal West Police commando and Waithou Police out post.

The habitual vehicle lifter was Md. Atao Rahman, 22, son of Md. Ajmir of Lilong Turel Ahanbi Ubakthong Makha.

He disclosed the police that he is a vehicle lifter and he along with Md. Kausher alias Raja son of Manal of Chingkham Makha stole one Honda Activa 6G blue in colour and one Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 Twin white and black colour from Thongju area on Monday at around 2:00 am. The Honda Activa 6G was handed over to one Danish from Sora Ching Manak.

The Royal Enfield continental GT 650 Twin was recovered from a fish farm house located at Lilong Ubakthong Makha.

Atao disclosed that he along with Md. Kausher had previously stolen  one Bullet Digital motor cycle red in colour from Lilong Kaleikhong in the year 2022 and he along with Md. Mustak of Lilong Dam had aslo stolen Honda Activa  red in colour from Bashikhong area in the year 2022.

He was arrested and handed over to Singjamei Police station along with the bike for taking further necessary legal action against him.
