Woman drug smuggler arrested with over 4 kg Heroin

Imphal: A woman drug smuggler was apprehended with about 4.27 kg of Heroin powder by personnel of Tronglaobi VDF post of Bishnupur and the district police commando on Wednesday.

The woman was travelling with two children in a Winger vehicle bearing bearing registration number MN 02A/8676.

She was identified as Khupsian Kim alias Kimboi, 30, wife of Khupkhanhao of Gouchinkhup Veng near Lamka, Churachandpur district.

The state security team detected 104 cases of suspected Heroine powder weighing 4.27 Kg along with the weight of the containers during a normal frisking and checking. The drug was contained in a bag.

“We should be very careful from these enemies, they are destroying our generations,” chief minister N. Biren Singh said. “No rest till complete success.”

Manipur government is on its War on Drugs. Seizure of drugs and arrest of smugglers have been reported continuously almost everyday in the state.
