6th edition Queer Games underway

Imphal: Public participation and support from the society has been increasing towards LGBTQIA+ as compared with the past year.

This was said by founder of Ya_all, Sadam Hanjabam during the inauguration of two days 6th edition Queer Games, 2023 held at KAGO, Airport Road, Imphal West.

The programme was organised by Ya_all with tittle sponsor by Ablnbev; powered by Randstad in association with Fast&Up also supported by Hill Wild Living, Sangaiprou, Decathlon and Manipur LGBTQ.

Sadam said on the first day a mix gender football tournament was organised which is participated by 8 different football teams. A walkathon was oranised with the theme “In solidarity with the LGBTQIA+ community and gender minorities in Manipur.”

The walkathon started from KAGO and returned to the initial place after making a U-turn from Tiddim ground along Tiddim road.

The public participation and social acceptance has been increasing as compared to the previous year, Sadam said.
