Woman smuggler nabbed with Heroin

Imphal: Keithelmanbi Battalion under the aegis of HQ IGAR(South) foiled illicit Heroin Brown Sugar smuggling in Waheng Leikai, Jiribam Parking, Imphal West district on Friday.

In an effort to curb anti-social activities and containing movement of contraband items, Assam Rifles in conjunction with Manipur Police  apprehended one woman smuggler in possession of 551gm of Heroin brown sugar amounting to approximately Rs 55 lakh, the Assam Rifles said on Saturday.

The woman along with seized items were handed over to Imphal Police station for further legal action, it added.
