KCP/URF active cadre nabbed

Imphal: Bishnupur district police commando on Thursday apprehended an active UG cadre belonging to KCP/URF from a rented house at Langthatbal Mantrikhong Awang Leikai, Imphal West district, Manipur.

The militant was identified as Laishram Tiken Singh, 40, son of L. Iboyaima Singh of lthai Wapokpi Mayai Leikai, Bishunupur.

He was nabbed by the police acting on input from 16 AR (corroborated with own source) about the presence of some UGs in a rented house located at Langthatbal Mantrikhong Awang Leikai, a police report said.

On searching the house, one Lathod gun (local made) and two Lathod shells were found hidden on the roof of an Iron Godrej in his room. He disclosed that he is an active cadre of KCP/URF working under one Moirangjao alias Karangjao of KCP/URF, the report said.

He was arrested at 1:30 am and they seized the arms along with one mobile phone from his possession. He was handed to Singjamei Police station.
