One arrested with about 3 kg Brown Sugar in Manipur

Imphal: As a part of War on Drugs of N. Biren Singh led Manipur government, a team of Tengnoupal District Police arrested a smuggler with Brown Sugar on Monday.

The drug trafficker was identified as one Seiminlal Baite, 29, son of Holkhai Baite of Maojang village,  Moreh ward no. 1, Tengnoupal district, bordering Myanmar.

He was nabbed at Tengnoupal Police station check post along with 72 soap cases containing ‘suspected to be Brown Sugar’ weighing 2.987 kg (including the weight of the soap cases) concealed in an auto-rickshaw bearing no registration number.
