Drugs dug out

Imphal: Imphal West Police commando and Thoubal Police of Manipur have recovered Herion No. 4 powder and WY ( World is Yours) tablets from a spot nearby a pond ar Sangaiyumpham Mairenkhun Mayai Leikai.

The police team found the drugs when raided a house owned by Mayangmayum Ethemcha, 28, son of M. Alao of Sangaiyumpham Mairenkhun Mayai Leikai.

At the time of house search no one was found in the house. On further search of the surroundings, found a newly dug spot near a pond.

The team requested people from the locality to be witness in further search but no one was ready to be part of the search. So the team dug out in presence of a Gazetted police officer and found four plastic soap cases suspected to be containing Heroin no. 4 powder (48 grams approximately without the weight of the soap cases) and five blue plastic pouches containing suspected to be WY tablets (100 grams approximately including the weight of the plastic packet).

Hectic efforts are being made to arrest the involved accused persons, the police said.
