One drug dealer arrested

Imphal: A team of Mayang Imphal Poiice station nabbed a drug dealer from Mayang Imphal Bengoon area, Imphal West, Manipur on Sunday.

The drug dealer was identified as Phundreimayum Aboi, 21, son of Phundreimayum Nahachou of Bengoon Mayai Leikai.

The police, during a patrolling the youth was found driving a black Honda DIO bearing no registration number near Bengoon Sati Khongnang Makhong area. On seeing the presence of the police team at the area he tried to escape from the place in a very suspicious manner. But the police team managed to detain the unknown youth after a tussle.

On spot verification, he identified himself as Aboi. On body search eight numbers of plastic vials containing powder suspected to be Heroine number 4 were found from inside the right side pocket of his jogging shirt along with one mobile handset Vivo. On weighing the said plastic vials containing powder the total weight of the suspected heroine powder including the weight of the plastic vials was found to be 10 gm.

The items along with the vehicle and mobile handset were seized from the spot. The police conducted search at his house situated at Bangoon Mayai leikai and found 139 numbers of empty plastic vials and an empty soap case which he used in selling drug items.

Aboi was arrested on the same day. A case is registered at Mayang Imphal Police station, a police report said.
