2 lady drug dealer arrested

Imphal: Manipur’s Churachandpur district police on Thursday arrested two women indulging in selling narcotic drugs at her residence at New Lamka, Churachandpur district.

The drug sellers were identified as one Lallemzou Manlun, 25, wife of Vungbiaklal Manlun of Kanaan Veng, New Lamka and her neighbour Manlun, 24, wife Thangrouding Manlun.

Twenty-three soap cases of suspected Brown Sugar were found under her pillow and upon weighing it was found to weigh 329 gm. The drug was wrapped with a white cloth, packed and sealed by using facsimile in the presence of SDM, Tuibuong and civil witness, a police report said.

From the disclosure of Lallemzou, the house of Chinlamneng Manlun  was raided by the same team with the SDM who was already present.

During search of the house of Chinlamneng Manlun, five soap cases and one polythene packet containing 72 gm of suspected Brown Sugar were found hidden under the blanket on the bed.

The recovered suspected brown sugar was by observing formalities, the report said.

A case under ND & PS Act has been registered for investigation, it added.
